Minecraft: Bedrock 1.21.130.24 – Parched, Camel Husk and Mount Improvements

Good afternoon. This is a quick overview of the new preview version Bedrock 1.21.130.24, which is part of an update called “Mounts of Mayhem.” It features new mobs such as skeleton mummies and camel corpses. Mounted mobs can now swim, and many other changes have been added. The full list of changes can be found at the Minecraft: Bedrock 1.21 link.

New mobs

Parched – a new type of skeleton that only appears in the desert. It shoots arrows of weakness, does not burn in the sun, and spawns in groups of up to four. Health is 16 units (8 hearts). Half of the desert skeletons are now replaced by mummies.

Camel Husk – a zombie version of a normal camel. It has 32 health points, does not burn in the sun, is passive, and can be saddled without taming! It likes rabbit paws, but does not reproduce. You can ride it with a partner, just like a normal camel.

Sometimes in the desert you can encounter a special combination – a cadaver camel with two riders: a cadaver with a spear and a skeleton mummy with a bow. This combination makes combat particularly dangerous, so always be on your guard.

Riding mobs and water

Starting with 1.21.130.24, horses, mules, donkeys, and camels can swim. You no longer need to dismount and pull them across rivers on a leash, because now they can cross bodies of water on their own. Their swimming speed is not very fast, but at least it’s something.

Balance and minor changes

The balance of the Impaling Dash enchantment has been fixed; it now consumes less satiety:

Level I—0.5 units;
Level II—1 unit;
Level III—1.5 units.

It also consumes a small amount of weapon durability (one use, one unit.)
