Minecraft Java 26.3 – Snapshot 7
Snapshot 7 from the 26.3 branch brings a lot of cool new features, including something many players have been asking for for years. Concrete slabs and stairs are finally here and you can craft them at crafting table though for some reason you still cant process concrete at a stone cutter.
How do you work with maps in Minecraft 26 now?
- You can no longer zoom in on Explorer Maps at the Cartographer’s Table or the crafting table.
- When loading old worlds all existing maps are automaticaly converted to the new format.
- You can’t find the new Explorer Maps in the creative inventory, but you can still copy and duplicate them at the table.
- The icons for blank maps and regular filled maps have been updated.
- If you go beyond the boundaries of the explored area, the player icon remains a triangle. its now always shows which direction you’re facing.
What Abandoned Camps Hide
In Minecraft 26.3 Snapshot 7 chests and copper containers in abandoned camps now contain unique maps.They lead to various structures and locations such as:
- Ancient Cities, Palaces of Trials, and Abandoned Mines.
- Desert and jungle pyramids, and ruins of the Warm Ocean.
- Abandoned Camps in Rare Biomes
Minor Tweaks and Technical Details
- Cushion no longer dampen vibrations from placing breaking, or using items
- Gunpowder has been added to the loot of abandoned camps in place of fireworks
- For mod creators the
attack_animationandinteract_animationcomponents have been added, allowing items to have unique types and durations for swing animations (e.g., a thrusting strike). - The
swingcommand has been updated and no longer resets the player’s attack power. - Support has been added for future Realms servers in new regions including Canada, Mexico, and South Africa.
