Minecraft 1.21.11: Snapshot 25W44A – Camel Husk

A new Minecraft Java Edition 25w44a snapshot has been released, adding several interesting and even unexpected changes. These include new mobs, improved movement physics and rare graphics settings borrowed from the Bedrock version.

Snapshot 25W44A Features

Horses and camels no longer sink

One of the main innovations is that the animals you ride no longer drown in water. Now both horses and camels can calmly swim across rivers and lakes. However, they do so rather slowly, at about the same speed as the old player swimming. Nevertheless, this is a big improvement for survivors and travelers.

Zombie camel and new riders

The developers have added a new mob – Camel Husk, which is analogous to a zombie horse. It is neutral towards the player and feeds on rabbit ears, which finally gives this rare item a use in Minecraft 1.21.11.

But the most interesting thing is the possibility of the appearance of husk riders with spears and a new skeleton called “parched.” This skeleton shoots arrows of weakness, does not burn in the sun, and moves slower than regular skeletons, making it a dangerous enemy at a distance.

The combination of a husk with a spear and a parched skeleton on a zombie camel is one of the most difficult new types of undead to appear in deserts.

Smooth chunk loading

Another important innovation came with Bedrock Edition 1.21. Now chunks do not appear instantly, but are gradually loaded with a beautiful effect. In the settings, you can adjust the speed and smoothness of loading, which makes the game more enjoyable and closer to the mobile version.

Fixes and improvements

An old bug with gaps in copy models has been fixed, so now they are completely solid and look correct. Texture filtering compatibility has also been improved, making the image slightly smoother and cleaner.

What’s the overall picture?

Snapshot 25w44a can be called one of the most “lively” in recent times. Mojang has not only added new creatures, but also made the game more visually appealing and logical. Horses and camels now behave more realistically, undead creatures in deserts have become more dangerous, and the world loads smoothly and naturally.
