Minecraft 1.21.11: Snapshot 25W45A
We are in the final stages of development, and Snapshot 25W45A features another new mob, as well as new achievements, horse armor, a panorama, and other improvements.
Netherite horse armor
If you remember the last snapshot 25W44A, then you know that two new mobs, the camel husk and the parched have been added. But what players liked most was that horses can now swim, and in this update, the developers went further and added Natherite horse armor.
It looks luxurious and provides the best prothection (19 defense, 3 toughness, and knockback resistance). Like other netherite items, it is crafted at a blacksmith’s table using a diamond version, a ingot, and an upgrade.
However, despite the fact that netherite does not burn in lava, nazuite armor for horses still burns, and this is apparently a bug that will be fixed later.
New panorama and achievements
The Minecraft 1.21.11 update is coming to an end, and a new panorama with three mobs has been added to the game: a rider on a nautilus with a trident, a zombie rider with a spear, and camel husk and the parched. The atmosphere is dark, but now the panorama can be changed manually.
A new challenge called “Mobkebab” has been added. You need to hit five mobs with one spear strike. You can simplify the task by using armor stands, as they are also considered entities.
Bedrock changes and Vibrant Visuals graphics in JAVA
An interface for nautiluses has been added to the Bedrock version. Now, when interacting, you can equip a saddle and armor. This is especially useful on phones. The sky has also been changed, as now during rain or thunderstorms, sunsets become darker and more realistic. All of this is part of the future Vibrant Visuals graphics system in Minecraft 1.21 or 1.22 Java!
Camel corpses now drop rotten flesh, and a new mob, the coral zombie nautilus, has appeared. Its model is decorated with corals and looks both disgusting and impressive at the same time. It only spawns in warm oceans and, like regular nautiluses, can be tamed with a pufferfish.
New effects, weapons and timeline features
The enchantment effect on items has been significantly improved, and the glow is now smoother. The developers have also made it more difficult to hit mobs with a charged spear attack: the hitbox of the spearhead has been reduced.
It is now possible to use the timeline to set actions that depend on the time of day: the appearance of mobs, effects, or events. This will be useful for map and script authors in MC 1.21.11.
Technical changes and news for modders in 25W45A
As for Vibrant Visuals, they will not be released in this update. They are planned to be added in the next major release, and the developers have also begun rewriting the rendering system so that Minecraft uses a separate thread for rendering, which will speed up the game.
The big news is that Mojang is removing code obfuscation. This means that it will now be much easier for modders to update and create mods, and this development could greatly accelerate the growth of the community.
