Minecraft BLAST – First Look

Quite unexpectedly, Mojang and King studio have released Minecraft Blast, a mobile puzzle game with elements of construction and survival. The game is currently only available on iOS in Malaysia, but you can try it for free if you want. The game is completely free-to-play, with no donations implemented yet, making it an excellent test project for Minecraft fans.

Characters and starting options

There are six characters to choose from, many of which resemble the heroes of Minecraft Legends or Minecraft Dungeons. The player starts with basic actions: mining blocks, collecting resources, and completing the first tasks. The game immediately teaches you how to use energy and build various objects from swings and tables to gardens and cottages.

Mechanics and tools

The gameplay combines a match-3 puzzle with construction. Players destroy blocks of dirt, leaves, apples and earth to create combinations. The game features boosters and tools:

Axe (fast mining)
Pickaxe
Sword
Shovel
Crossbow
Eliters
Sphere of Dominion
Dynamite and fireworks

Construction and crafting

The energy gained from completing levels is spent on constructing buildings. Foundations, roofs, terraces, bridges, and gardens all objects are created quickly, with Minecraft-style animation.

Social features and progress

The game supports collections, levels, chapters, and social elements. Future integration with friends and clans via platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok is expected. Players can tame animals and create farms for cows, chickens, and sheep without harming them.
