Civilizations Add-On [Premium]
The Civilizations Add-On introduces nine unique civilizations to the world, each with it’s own strategies, sets of troops, raids, and economy. You can build cities, create armies and manage your settlement however you like.
Anchors and Founding Your Own Settlement
Creating your own city in the Civilizations Add-On begins by crafting a civilization anchor at a workbench. There are 9 types of these blocks and each requires resouces ranging from iron blocks and sakura to End Stone or Hell Brick.
- The anchor sets the settlement’s radius to 32 blocks and prevents residents from running away.
- Twenty-five in-game days after placing the block, enemy raids will begin attacking your city.
- Only one of your anchors can be placed on the map at a time.
Generation Mechanics and Territory Exploration
New settlements in the Civilizations Add-On are generated naturally throughout the world, extending to the Nether and the End. You can find a pre-built city using the command /locate structure Mythicus and claim it.
The ancient underground cities are enormous but their streets are dangerous; winter and forest villages add a lot of detail to the biomes. Settlements in the End spawn as floating ships with guards.
Workstations and New Professions
For residents to start working, they need workbenches, which are crafted from a regular workbench and a themed item. A total of 9 workbenches are availible.
- Commander – the main workbench for purchasing your own soldiers and golems.
- Jeweler and Merchant – exchange gems and food for currency.
- The Alchemist, Artisan, Blacksmith and Enchanter sells blueprints, upgraded gear, and books.
Economy and Rare Minerals
Minecraft: Bedrock introduces a tiered currency system (tetra, penta, decy, and other emeralds), as well as a host of new underground ores. In the Overworld, Nether and End mines, you can mine aquamarine, fire ruby, topaz jade, and the rarest black opal. These resources can be sold to a jeweler to obtain advanced coins.
Army Management and Raid Defense
To defend against raids, you need to hire guards such as swordsmen, archers, mages, tanks, and giant golems.
How do you do this?
- Approach a unit and hold down the crouch + interact buttons.
- Select one of the modes: stand still, patrol or roam within a 15-block radius.
- If your troops are injured, heal them by interacting with them.
Decor and Construction Using Blueprints
Civilizations Addon introduces a new construction mechanic. Custom blocks aren’t crafted directly from raw materials; instead, you purchase blueprints from merchants, place them in a stone cutter, and receive the necessary building blocks-whether they’re carved staircases, lanterns, special slabs or other blocks.
