Meet the Critters

  1. Aphid
    • Stats: 9 health, normal movement speed.
    • Behaviors: These sneaky pests consume plants and crops, spawning in large groups in forests, plains, and jungles. Every plant block they “sap” has a 20% chance to produce Honeydew, a collectible item used to attract other insects or as a food source.
    • Fun Fact: Aphids can be bottled with Honeydew on their tails and come in orange variants in warmer biomes. Breedable with flowers!
  2. Dragonfly/Damselfly
    • Stats: 12 health, above-average movement speed.
    • Behaviors: Agile and predatory, these aerial hunters feed on Aphids and can even carry players if tamed with green or orange Aphids. Their drops include chitin, which can craft a new chestplate.
  3. Ladybug
    • Stats: 12 health, slow on land, fast in air.
    • Behaviors: A passive mob that occasionally hunts Aphids. Ladybugs can be tamed, offering regen effects within a 6-block radius, making them excellent farming companions.
  4. Praying Mantis
    • Stats: 30 health, above-average movement speed.
    • Behaviors: Large neutral predators, these ferocious creatures hunt all kinds of insects. Found in flower forests and cherry groves, they add a thrilling dynamic to insect ecosystems.
