Minecraft 26.10.24: Final Features Confirmed for Gamedrop 1

Minecraft has confirmed that all features from the latest beta, preview, and recent snapshot are final for the first game drop of 2026. The release is expected within the next four weeks, and for Bedrock Edition, it will be version 26.10.24.

Updated mob babies

The textures and models for panda, strider, hoglin, sniffer, and zoglin babies have been updated. The panda now has different variants, including a snotty one and a rare brown one. The sniffer baby is called a snifflet in the changelog. These versions will be available after the update is released.

Golden Dandelion and Conveniences

The Golden Dandelion now shows green particles when used on cubs. Particles pointing down indicate a pause in growth while particles pointing up indicate that age has been reset and growth has resumed. This helps you understand whether the item was used before.

Stone and deepslate can now be turned into cobblestone variants using a stonecutter. Dry bushes can now be placed on beds.

Mobs, sounds, and Realms

Zombie horse cubs can now be tethered. Wolf cubs attack sheep and growl when angry. Fixed the display of items on foxes, and the head position of armadillo cubs.

In Realms the moderation screen has been moved to the new All UI interface. The servers tab shows custom servers even without official ones. Added adult versions of sounds for pigs, cats, cows and chickens.

Performance and interface

Fixed server lag when there is a large number of updating blocks and freezing near lava in the Nether. An experimental recipe book toggle has been added to the furnace.
