How ghost pets work

In Ghost Pets 2.0, glowing flowers appear in the world at night – the main resource of the add-on. They are used to create glowing paint, which is required for crafting a magic wand and other items. With the help of the wand, you can turn certain mobs into ghost pets.

Among the basic creatures are a wolf, a cat, a rabbit, and a fox. After transformation, pets get their own stats: health, hunger level, sleep and mood. If they arent cared for, they can become more aggressive.

Pets can be customized: attack mode (aggressive, passive), follow the player, or wait in place. Over time unique abilities are unlocked.

New pets in version 2.0

The update added five new creatures: Voidfrog, Phantom Parrot, Moonlit Horse, Luna Axelottle, and Plasma Phantom.

1. Each one has its own special abilities.
2. Voidfrog can create a vortex bubble and use a dash.
3. Phantom Parrot attacks from a distance and can sit on your shoulder.
4. Plasma Phantom calls down lightning strikes during thunderstorms.
5. Moonlit Horse can fly, walk on water and gives a slow fall effect
6. Luna Axelottle uses tsunamis, poison and the “Dolphin’s Blessing” effect.
7. All pets have a favorite food that speeds up their development and unlocks abilities.

Through a special store in Ghost Pets 2.0 you can buy rare resources, including food for the new pets and extra items such as a whistle to control all creatures at once. The settings include options for food and sleep consumption rates as well as an automatic return function for pets after death.
