Minecraft 1.21.11: Snapshot 25W46A – Mob Improvements
This is a brief overview of the new 25W46A snapshot, which brings us closer to the final Minecraft update called “Mounts of Mayhem.” Development is coming to an end, so the snapshots have become very small, so let’s see what exactly has been added in this update.
Nautilus graphical interface
If you remember, a unique Nautilus graphical interface was previously added to the Bedrock Edition, but it was not available in the Java version. It was assumed that the reason for this was that Bedrock is mainly played on phones, while Java is played on PCs.
However, the developers have now decided to add the interface to Java as well. It looks familiar: you can equip armor and a saddle, remove the saddle, and sit back down only after equipping it again. This works for both the regular Nautilus and the zombie and coral variants.
New sounds and splash texts
The mechanics of the Nautilus attack have also been changed: now they make a sound before lunging, giving the player a little time to dodge. A new splash text has been added in honor of Kurt J. Mac, who reached the Far Lands on October 4, 2025, after 14 years of travel.
Mob fixes and new details
Changes have also been made to the desert skeleton. It is now immune to the Weakness effect, and throwing a potion at it will have no effect.
Improved music cues have been added. In the “Music and Sounds” section, you can now enable the display of the track name when paused. When new music starts and you press Escape, the track name is displayed in the upper left corner.
Another improvement concerns mounts: horses, mules, donkeys, camels, and zombie horses no longer panic when controlled by mobs. They will calmly follow their rider.
New creative menu in 25W46A
The developers have changed the creative menu with summoning eggs. Now everything is divided into categories: Overworld, Nether, and End. The Overworld, in turn, is divided into subcategories: farm animals, mounts, pets, wild and sea creatures, golems, vilagers, undead, spiders, monsters, and mobs. This makes the menu more logical, but the new layout takes some getting used to.
Final touches to the update
Numerous bug fixes have also been added. This snapshot is small, as the “Mounts of Mayhem 1.21” update is nearing completion.
