Biomes Plus Add-On [Premium]

4 new biomes, 100+ structures, 50+ blocks, 50+ items, and 10 unique mobs for 830 minecoins on the Marketplace. The concept looks interesting, especially the volcanic biome, which has been missing from Bedrock for a long time, but the main question is whether the mod is worth the price. Let’s take a closer look.

Biomes and Their Features

Biomes Plus adds four biomes: Stardust Forest, Prism Gardens, Void Fields, and Ash Hills. Each has its own materials, mobs, and visual style.

So, Stardust features willow trees and creatures with effects like speed. Prism Gardens is fully made of crystals and gives access to resources for crafting armor. Void Fields adds materials with effects like haste and resistance. Ash Hills is a volcanic biome with fire, ash, and stronger enemies. All of these biomes are often generated on a large scale and cover a big part of the map.

Crafting, Armor, and Progression

Each biome provides its own resources: ruby, sapphire, topaz, stardust, and void. These can be used to craft weapons and armor with effects; for example some sets grant speed, others resistance or faster resource gathering.

That said, getting resources in Biomes Plus is pretty easy, but the balance suffers: item durability is low and the guidebook barely explains the mechanics so you have to test a lot of things manualy.

Mobs and Gameplay

Mobs are basically the weak point of the Biomes Plus Addon. In most cases they are just variations of standard Minecraft creatures like creepers, zombies, and skeletons with different textures. Some have abilities (fire, effects), but they lack unique behavior. Also all mobs have no sounds, which is kinda important.

Structures

Over 100 structures are listed, but in practice they often repeat. These are mostly small builds like treehouses or simple structures with loot, and while there are sometimes variations the feeling of variety is weak.
