Trading and Crafting Improvements

Mojang has finally freed players from the tedious routine of interacting with villagers. Previously, when leveling up a merchant, you had to exit the menu, wait for the leveling animation to finish and re-enter. In Minecraft Java 26.3 Snapshot 8, new offers from the same stonemason or priest are available without closing the trading window.

Block Changes in Snapshot 9

• Concrete steps and slabs can now be cut with a stone cutter rather than just crafted at a crafting table.
• Straw beds in the inventory have been moved closer to regular beds and they can now be harvest with a hoe in a fraction of a second.
• Pillows no longer break or drop when placed inside glass, foliage, copper grilles or mangrove roots.

Endermen, Boats, and Mob Protection

In Minecraft 26.3, endermen in the end have lost their invulnerability to ranged attacks. If you trap an enderman in a boat, you can now shoot it with a bow or throw snowballs at it, dealing damage and earning achievements.

Additionally, endermen and shulkeres can no longer teleport onto bedrock blocks. However, teleportation now leaves a trail of particles. Enchantments on undead players’ helmets (such as durability) in version 26.3 now effectively protect armor from wear under sunlight.

Generation Speed and Interface

Searching for structures using the /locate command now works almost instantly at distances of several thousand blocks. General optimization: the heavy loading of a 32-chunk range in Snapshot 10 now occurs much faster, the process is noticeably smoother.

Menu Design Updated

• The main menu now features a new panorama of an autumn forest with an abandoned camp, a tent and a campfire.
• Adventure Mode in the game mode selection window now has a map icon with a treasure marker.
• For Realms a welcome screen with Bedrock Edition style artwork and a system of temporary invite codes for friends have been added.
