Realistic Sunsets and Moonrises for Bedrock Edition
This is a visual resource pack for Bedrock Edition that changes the usual appearance of the sky by adding diagonal movement of the sun and moon, as in the famous BSL shader. Now, celestial bodies don’t just rise and fall in a straight line, but their path is at an angle, creating the effect of the planet’s axis tilt. Thanks to this, sunsets take on a soft golden hue, and moonrises look incredibly atmospheric.
How it works (in simple terms)
On a technical level, the trajectory of the sun and moon does not change, as MC: Bedrock simply does not allow their orbits to be edited. The effect is achieved through the skillful combination of textures, namely: a slightly rotated sky dome, detailed gradients of dawn and dusk, and updated sprites of celestial bodies. All together, this creates the illusion of diagonal movement and soft diffused light, as if the world is rotating with a natural tilt.
