Minecraft Live 2026 – Slime Theory in 26.4
The slime teasers that Minecraft posted yesterday turned out to be part of the buildup to Minecraft Live. It looks like Bedrock 26.4 will introduce new types of slimes, and the community’s interpretations (or guesses) suggest not only new mobs but also the possible introduction of a new ore-though there are a lot of theories floating around.
Slimes that eat blocks
One of the first ideas that probably comes to everyone’s mind is slimes that eat blocks. The teaser shows a plate with cobblestone, ice, and planks. The theory suggests a universal slime-cobblestone turns it into a stone version, ice into a cold one, planks into a wooden one, and so on. It sounds strange, but the theory gets more logical as it goes on.
Binary code and sulfur
There is a binary code that has been decoded as bright pale yellow. The letter S was initially interpreted as a reference to slime, but was later linked to sulfur. The number 16 could mean either the number of slime variants or a reference to the 16th element in the periodic table. Again we’ll most likely get a new ore.
Community Theory
According to one popular theory, sulfur ore will be added in Minecraft: Bedrock 26.4 (or possibly 26.5). It could be used to create up to 16 color variants of slimes and blocks. Similar hints were used before for the copper teaser, so this logic seems plausible.
Passive slimes and variants
There is also discussion about passive slimes that can be colored. Ice, honey, stone, and other variants are possible. Meanwhile the lava cube and the classic green slime will likely stay aggressive. In principle this fits into the concept of a major Minecraft BE update.
If these theories are confirmed, MCBE 26.4 could feature an expanded slime system and new types of slime blocks with unique properties. For now these are just speculations, so dont expect new slimes in the next game drop.
