Minecraft: Bedrock 26.10.25 – Baby Mobs, Name Tags, Fixes
Mojang has finally tweaked baby zombies, husks, and drowned mobs in Bedrock 26.10.25. The head size of the baby versions of these mobs has been reduced, and now they look normal. Previously, the proportions were honestly kind of weird, and players had been asking for this to be fixed for a long time. They still look a little unusual when holding items but thats another story. This is just the beginning of the changes; there’s more to come.
Copper Golems and other mobs
Copper Golems now hold spears, tridents, and crossbows correctly – the textures dont float anymore. Rabbits now run in the correct direction when taking damage in the air. Baby Camels now speed up their walking animation when hit. Baby piglins, zombie piglins, etc no longer fall through boats and minecarts. So far these are just small tweaks.
Name tags – new system
Librarians no longer sell name tags. Now you can:
- craft them using any ore (iron, gold, copper)
buy them from a traveling merchant – 1 for 1 emerald 7% chance, 5 in stock - Name tags have been removed from the Ancient City and Woodland Mansion.
Bugs and minor fixes
Water no longer leaks in corners if the stairs are made of different blocks – this bug has existed since 2020, lol. Baby Glow Squid now glows like an adult. Armor Trim is once again displayed on players and mobs. Vertical synchronization has been fixed on Bedrock for PS5 – there used to be a frame tearing artifact.
Interface and other stuff in 26.10.25
Inventory search now works the same in Survival and Creative modes. UI scaling has been fixed on mobile devices. The Identify Block/Mob accessibility feature now shows data in chat and above the hotbar. These are the main changes although there are a few other minor fixes as well.
