Minecraft Bedrock 26.10.20 – Faster Settings & Cute Animal Updates
The latest Minecraft: Bedrock update, version 26.10.20, has finally arrived, and the first thing that catches the eye is the redesigned interface. The developers have launched a design preview, and the settings menu now opens instantly. Previously, due to the abundance of add-ons, you could wait a minute for the settings to load, but now everything flies, so thank you 26.10.20.
Important mode switches have been moved to the top, and for those who like to share worlds, a button has been added to copy the seed directly from the interface (a small thing that players have been asking for years). This is still a test version, so the buttons may move around, but its much more pleasant to use now.
Baby now look (and sound) different
The main portion of visual changes went to the animals. The developers took the young ones seriously.
- Axolotls received unique animations and updated textures.
- Dolphins, squids, glowing squids, and turtles now have their own specific models for smaller versions.
- Donkeys, horses, mules, and even zombie horses now look different – the proportions of their faces have changed slightly.
Small horses and chickens no longer squeak like adults and in Minecraft 26.10.20, they have their own audio files. The same applies to wolf cubs.
Technical fixes and long-awaited comfort
Remember how, after one of the previous updates, boats and horses became sluggish and unwieldy? In Minecraft Bedrock 26.10.20, responsiveness has been restored to its previous level. Now you can turn in a boat without feeling like your rowing in jelly.
Colored block lighting is no longer locked in experimental settings. This means that third-party shaders will soon become much more atmospheric, allowing torches or mushroom lights to flood caves with soft, natural light.

- Settings load in seconds, even with a bunch of mods.
- Small polar bears no longer attack the player.
- When crafting a shield with a bandit flag, all enchantments are now preserved.
- Fireproof zombie horses no longer catch fire when in water.
- Cool-downs on custom items (such as Edge pearls) are now displayed correctly.
- Mod cubs have received unique voice acting.
- Color lighting functionality is open to all pack creators.
